To produce the Great West Way Travel Magazine in print and digital format
One of a number of successful projects made possible by HM Government’s £40m Discover England Fund, administrated by VisitEngland, The Great West Way is a multi-modal touring route between London and Bristol.
The project brief was to launch their annual Travel Magazine, highlighting England’s many iconic destinations and attractions along and around the 125-mile long route, giving a clear compelling proposition to draw visitors out of London.
In addition to the domestic focus, the magazine was to appeal to a wider international audience too, mainly holidaymakers from Germany, the USA and Netherlands. As a completely new tourism product, Contista Media had the opportunity to be involved in developing the brand and helping to bring the route to life.
Contista Media advised and managed the entire magazine project, from suggesting and presenting the paper options, to planning the pagination, flatplan and feature lists, editorial briefs and writing the articles, advertising sales and design, layouts and high-res proofs, final production and file upload, management of the print order, a targeted distribution plan including newsstand, digital editions, and online marketing campaign.
